Peace of mind today. A plan for tomorrow. Your lawyer for life.
WELCOME!
I want to congratulate you for making it here and taking the first step toward planning for everyone and everything you love. Planning can be difficult—it’s easy to put it off when faced with the pressures of every day, and, at least when contemplating our own mortality, it can be downright uncomfortable. But, like most things we avoid and delay, once we’ve finally done it, we usually feel great relief, a little foolish for delaying something so easy and so worth while for so long, and peace of mind for doing a thing that had to be done and doing it well.
Since you’re reading this now, you must be at the beginning of this journey. Perhaps you have children and you know deep down that you need to plan for their future in case you are not around to care for them. Who do you want to make sure finishes raising them? Who do you want to make sure does not have that opportunity? Maybe you want to make sure someone has the power and resources to take care of you and your family if you become incapacitated? Or you want to do what you can to provide for those loved ones when you die (and, yes, as uncomfortable as it may be, we all know that we will all die). Planning can help to ensure our loved ones have ample resources, that they don’t have to go to court, endure the delay and expense of probate, or fight over money, heirlooms, or the kids.
I look forward to learning your story, hearing what matters to you, and helping you to discover what's actually needed to keep your loved ones out of court and out of conflict when something happens to you (or them). I call this Life and Legacy Planning—it’s about so much more than your “estate”; it’s about your hopes and dreams for yourself and those you love, and planning so that those hopes and dreams don’t simply disappear when you are gone. Even if you have a plan, odds are it’s out of date, not properly funded, or inadequate. Ask me to put that plan through my 50-point review then you can decide the best next step to protect you and your loved ones.
If you're ready to get going with a Life and Legacy Plan, please attend one of our upcoming events (which you can read about below) or schedule a Life and Legacy Planning Session.
